I recently met an American who was a fervent environmentalist and gave a long winded explanation as to why we need a tax on fossil fuels. He was heavy into recycling, and took my aluminium cans to reuse it for his plants or something, he said its better to use them for something rather than throwing it away. I live in the Iberian peninsula so he was probably visiting or a digital nomad, I didn’t ask. But we had a great conversation on stuff related to biology and ecology, and on EO Wilson’s works.
