Statistics tell us that measures of femininity and stability monotonically improve in women from the “very liberal” end of the spectrum to the “very conservative” end. But let us not be datacels about a reality that’s staring us in the face, one that demographers’ classifications just aren’t sensitive enough to detect yet.
The old view was that “conservative” women are low-openness women from conservative backgrounds, insulated (or inoculated) against newfangled liberal views. But there’s a new group of women calling themselves “right-wing” who are temperamentally and developmentally nothing like this, a totally non-overlapping cluster. They adopted “based” views not from their family and community, but from truthpilling over the Internet. They’re higher in openness, neuroticism, mental illness susceptibility, promiscuity, bisexuality, autistic traits, masculine systematizing cognitive style, the traits associated with low 2D:4D ratio, traits that make them very different from traditionally conservative women.
